
Alexandra Morgan Carrasco, an American professional soccer player is a striker with San Diego Wave FC (NWSL) and is the captain of San Diego Wave FC. She was also the co-captain for the United States women's soccer team from 2018 through 2020 alongside Megan Rapinoe and Carli Lloyd. [8][9The 8-year-old Morgan was selected by the Western New York Flash at number one in the 2011 WPS Draft. She had completed her degree from Berkeley in the early part of the year. Morgan also played for California Golden Bears. Morgan made her debut as a professional there , and was a key player in the team's winning the league title. Morgan was only 22 at the time and the youngest player in the national team in the FIFA Women's World Cup 2011. The team came in second. She scored the match-winning goal against Canada in the semi-final match during the 2012 London Olympics. The 2012 season ended with 28 goals, 21 assists, and Mia Hamm was the only American woman to score both 20 and 20 goals. It made her the sixth-youngest U.S. player ever to hit 20 goals in a season. She was awarded the U.S. Soccer Female Player of the Year and was named a FIFA World Player of the The Year finalist. Morgan played a key role in the United States winning their titles at the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cups and the FIFA Women's World Championships in 2019. She was selected to both the Dream Team and won the Silver Boot in 2019.
